An initiative taken by Anita ma'am @ - where the students were taught to make and use paper bags. Each student would carry a paper bag made by him daily to class and would fill it during the day with his trash. At the end of the day all the students would throw their filled paper bags into the Class dustbin. (1) This system would prevent students from getting up now and then to throw things in the dustbin. (2) They are encouraged to use paper bags (3) The students have learnt and are explained the ill effects of plastic bags (4) The students don't get up from their seats under the pretext of throwing waste into the dustbin (5) The classroom remains clean through out the day. Anita ma'am has also initiated a system where there is a surprise check of the class rooms during the day and the cleanest class is announced immediately on the public address system - this motivates students to keep their own class room clean.
